At HRH Masonry Ltd, we specialise in the conservation, restoration, and repair of historic and natural stone buildings across Scotland. Our skilled team of stone masons and restorers are passionate about preserving architectural heritage through craftsmanship, attention to detail, and traditional techniques.
We’re expanding our team and looking for enthusiastic individuals to join us as Trainee Stone Restorers — working alongside experienced tradespeople and learning hands-on skills in a rewarding, specialist trade.

The Role:
As a Trainee Stone Restorer, you’ll assist our qualified masons and restorers on a range of projects — from heritage restorations and lime pointing to stone cleaning and carving. You’ll learn how to work safely with tools, handle natural stone, and develop traditional masonry skills through practical experience and on-the-job training.
Typical duties include:
• Assisting with stone cleaning, repair, and restoration
• Preparing materials, tools, and work areas
• Mixing and applying lime mortars
• Supporting stone masons with installation and conservation work
• Maintaining a tidy and safe worksite
• Learning traditional stone restoration techniques

What We’re Looking For:
• A genuine interest in stone masonry, heritage, or restoration work
• A strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Good attention to detail and pride in your work
• Reliability and punctuality
• Ability to work as part of a team
• CSCS card (preferred but not essential – training can be provided)
• Full UK driving licence (preferred)
