We are overwhelmed and extremely grateful for the vast amount of donations that we have received across the company! We have some fantastic prizes available for our raffle and tickets will be available to purchase from tomorrow in all of our Nurseries. The raffle will be drawn at the end of June giving you plenty of time to purchase tickets and support two amazing hospitals in the process!

⚡️ Burning smell call out 😳⚡️

We received a call about a burning smell on a shower pull cord

On arrival we found the culprit, and sure there was definitely some heat 🔥

We rectified the damage buy replacing the pull cord and back box

Diagnosis was loose connections on the neutrals

This is why EICR’s are important on electrical installations

⚡️ A recent consumer upgrade ⚡️

We upgraded this consumer unit due to a failed EICR

The RCD wasn’t tripping under fault conditions and other issues within the consumer unit itself

⚡️ Comsumer unit upgrade & more ⚡️

Today we have been busy in Langley mill upgrading a consumer unit, socket upgrades an a new cooker hood replacement.

The new 18th edition consumer unit consists of full RCBO Protection and a SPD device.

We installed click deco sockets within the kitchen and added a new socket for an additional appliance.

The cooker hood was replaced for a new (working) fan. (Customer supplied cooker hood, we was more than happy to fit)

⚡️ Odd job Friday ⚡️

Few little jobs for a wind down Friday.

We installed a couple of extra sockets for a returning customer

Whilst there we also changed a noisy fan to a silent fan, but still powerful

⚡️ This weeks installation ⚡️

This week we have been busy working on a commercial project in derby

This consisted of extra sockets and special lighting for an inspection Bay Area

We completed the whole install including 3 stud walls with a1 fire rated boarding, to comply with regs we installed fire resistant sealant and fire resistant cable.

⚡️ Outdoor socket ⚡️

Today we have installed the new Matt black BG outdoor socket.

This allows the customer to use his jet wash to do his bike and for jet washing the the patio area

We also added a new double socket in the bedroom so they have 1 double socket either side of the bed

⚡️ Consumer unit upgrade ⚡️

Today we have upgraded another consumer unit to the latest regulations. Fully RCD protected along with a surge protection device to protect all your expensive appliances

Along with this we identified a major fault with the out building. A 32amp circuit had been run on a lighting circuit 😳

Our next job is to supply the out building correctly with a 10mm armoured cable with its own dedicated circuit.
