As I have mentioned once or twice (I’m not bitter, honest 😬) I have always been Rich’s 3rd favourite apprentice 🙄

Connor I have always known to be number 2 C Farmer Plumbing & Heating

And some mystery guy called Pete is number 1

Well, all three of us met at Rich’s funeral 🥰

At the time posing for these photos I felt like I was a Marvel Avenger or similar 💪🏻 obvs the reality shines a whole different light 🤣

Even more amusing to me is Pete is local to the area, and went to school with my best mate in Belper.

The enigma that is Rich’s number 1 apprentice has been closer to home than either of us had known this whole time 👀

Update for Rich’s funeral arrangements.

Unfortunately the waterboard have had to dig up the car park for the rugby club so parking is extremely limited.

So if you are local consider walking down please.

Please use surrounding street parking. There’s spaces outside the club entrance which are reserved already so please don’t park there.

Morrisons is next door. I spoke to the deputy manager and explained the situation and they have kindly said we can use Morrisons car park which is next door. If using Morrisons you MUST type your details into their tablet on the customer service counter, just inside the door. You will get a stinky fine if you don’t do this.

If you have any specific issues that require you to have a space close to the club please DM as soon as possible.

Missing him beyond measure but making moves to make him proud.

I wish we had longer together but assume forever wouldn’t have been enough.

I am going to take what’s left of the summer off and will be starting up Pingle again, I was taught by the best and he always confirmed I was his 3rd favourite apprentice 😬

One week after our lives changed forever, Connor and I returned to finish Rich’s last job.

There was a toilet too but toilets are boring, this basin is gorgeous.

Thank you Connor for rearranging all your own work and juggling everything including your grief to come help me.

I’m sure Mr Smarty Pants would have had something to say about it but I think it’s perfect.

Please join us in celebrating the life of Richard Stuart Wardle.

A time for us to come together, reflect, and remember the joy, laughter, and love Rich brought to so many lives.

Tuesday 11th August at 10:00am
Amber Valley Crematorium

Followed by a gathering at Belper Rugby Club.

Please wear whatever makes you feel comfortable.

No flowers, please. Instead, if you would like to, we invite you to bring a small houseplant (anything you like, as long as it’s small enough to carry in one hand). The plants will be placed together during the ceremony, and afterwards you’re welcome to take a different one home as a keepsake. Rich loved plants, and we feel this is more appropriate than flowers.

Please don’t feel under any obligation to bring a plant or follow any of these suggestions. We simply ask that you join us in remembering Rich in whatever way feels right for you.

To all our highly valued customers and friends,

I am so heartbroken and sad to let you know that Rich was taken from me and everyone else this week. Rich had a very large aneurism which unfortunately burst and took him. I was with him, he was not alone.

I will finish the job he was on at the time and then I plan to fold the business. I could never in a million years fill his shoes. He was better than everyone.

Please treasure any work completed by him, it was his passion and livelihood and he always gave his work 100%.

I am delighted I completed his last installation with him, he inspired me with his approach and care to his work.

Thank you for trusting us, thank you for supporting us and thank you for showing appreciation to Rich for his craftsmanship.
