From a ladder to a flight of stairs. Fitted today a flight of consisting of solid oak strings, handrails and newel posts with softwood treads and risers. Double bullnose for the first two treads leading up to a half landing. More photos of the underneath cladding and under stairs cupboard and glass panels to follow soon.

roof completed with fascia, soffit and guttering. Building control chap was well happy once he saw we’d installed “dragon ties” on the corners. Thanks to Adam Shaw Carpentry And Joinery for the assistance. A very hot few days but really rewarding using the old skills and knowledge.

sash window repair. A listed building that required a new sash fitting and sash cords replacing, and the window repairing. You can see the extent of the rotten sill and stiles, all of this had to be cut out and replaced with new timber together with a new sash that had the sash cord and pulleys replaced to enable the sash to open correctly and as good as it would have been when new.
