Week 1: Pride starts with belonging. 🌈

Pride Month has its roots in people coming together and saying, “We deserve to be seen. We deserve to be safe. We deserve to belong.”

That message still matters.

Round Table has always been about bringing people together too. Since its early days, the idea has been simple: friendship, community, new experiences, and ordinary people doing more together.

For us, Pride Month is a reminder that community only works when people feel welcome in it. Not tolerated. Not quietly accepted from a distance. Properly welcomed.

Whether you are part of the LGBT+ community, an ally, or someone still learning how to better support others, belonging starts with making space for each other.

No cliques. No judgement. No awkward “you don’t fit here” energy.

Just people, friendship, community and a seat at the table.

Pride Month is here — and the table is looking a little more colourful. 🌈

Pride has always been about more than flags, parades and bright colours. It is about people being seen, accepted, respected and able to be themselves without having to shrink, hide, or explain who they are.

At Beverley Round Table 247, we believe in friendship, community, laughter, support and making room for different stories. Whether you are part of the LGBT+ community, an ally, still learning, or simply someone who believes people deserve kindness and respect, there is a place for you in the conversation.

Round Table was built on the idea of people coming together, trying new things, supporting their communities and making life a bit less ordinary. Pride carries that same spirit: people standing together, making space, and choosing acceptance over judgement.

Different stories. Same table.

So this Pride Month, we are celebrating acceptance, allyship, friendship and the simple but powerful idea that everyone deserves to feel welcome.
