Next Wednesday we’re getting together for pizza, drinks, good company… and the very first look at something new. Very new. Very hush hush. The planning process begins, and trust us — you’ll want to be in the room when this one is revealed.

🩸 GIVE BLOOD. SAVE LIVES. BE A BLOOD BROTHER. 🩸

Over the past month, Beverley Round Table, and Tables across the Country have been backing the Round Table Blood Brothers drive and encouraging more people to think about becoming blood donors.

Blood donation has been saving lives for over a century. Since the first successful human blood transfusions, donated blood has become essential in modern healthcare — supporting people through emergencies, surgery, cancer treatment, childbirth, blood disorders and long-term conditions.

The NHS advises that blood is always in high demand, and most people aged 17 to 65 can donate. A donation appointment usually takes around an hour, and your blood can be separated into different components, meaning one donation can support more than one patient.

It is a small act from you, but it can mean everything to someone else.

If you are able to donate, please consider booking an appointment through NHS Blood Donation:

Turning up to something new on your own can feel awkward.

We get it.

But Beverley Round Table 247 is built around making people feel welcome. You don’t need to already know anyone. You don’t need to be the loudest person in the room. You don’t need to have done anything like this before.

Just turn up, get involved, and give it a go.

Most of the lads were new once too.

Week 4: Different stories. Same table. 🌈

Pride Month is a celebration of people. Their stories, their journeys, their courage, their joy, and their right to be accepted for who they are.

Round Table has always been about bringing people together through friendship, community and shared experiences. Different people. Different backgrounds. Different personalities. One table.

That is the beauty of it.

You do not need to be the loudest person in the room.
You do not need to have everything figured out.
You do not need to be exactly like everyone else.

You just need to be treated with respect.

Pride reminds us that acceptance should not be saved for one month of the year. It should be part of how we show up every day — in our friendships, our communities, our conversations and the spaces we create.

So as Pride Month continues, we are celebrating what really matters:

Friendship.
Community.
Acceptance.
Being yourself.
Backing each other.
Doing more together.

Good question.

Beverley Round Table 247 is not just one thing — and that’s the best bit.

We do socials.
We do challenges.
We do community events.
We do fundraising.
We do nights out.
We do random activities that sound like a good idea at the time.
We do friendship, laughs and getting out of the house.

Round Table is about making life a bit less routine and a lot more memorable.

Happy Father's Day ♥️

Here's to the early mornings, late nights, school runs, terrible DIY attempts, questionable BBQ skills and all the unseen stuff in between.

To the men working hard to set a good example.
To the dads trying their best every single day.
To the guys showing kindness, patience, resilience and humour when it matters most.

You may not realise it, but the little things you do leave a massive impact.

Round Table is full of dads balancing work, family life, friendships and everything else life throws at you - and we know just how important good people and good support networks can be.

So take a moment, pop your feet up, and remember - you're doing awesome.
