Another member joins **The Boys Collection**… and this one means a lot.

Round Table has become a big part of **Jamie’s** life, and it has been genuinely brilliant to watch him grow in confidence and come out of his shell along the way.

From turning up and getting involved, to becoming part of the group, joining the socials, having a laugh and making memories with the lads — Jamie has shown exactly what Round Table can be about.

You don’t have to walk through the door as the loudest person in the room.

You don’t have to know everyone.

You don’t have to be confident from day one.

Sometimes you just need somewhere you feel welcome, somewhere you can be yourself, and a group of people who give you the space to get involved at your own pace.

🎀 THIS FRIDAY, WE’RE WEARING IT PINK 🎀
Round Table may predominantly be a men’s organisation, but that does not mean issues affecting women sit outside our world.
We have wives.
Partners.
Mums.
Sisters.
Daughters.
Friends.
And, of course, our brilliant friends in Ladies Circle.
So this Friday, Beverley Round Table 247 is proud to support Wear It Pink and stand alongside everyone affected by breast cancer.
Breast Cancer Now says more than 55,000 people are diagnosed with breast cancer every year in the UK, with thousands more living with secondary breast cancer.

Behind every number is a person.
A family.
A friendship group.
A community.
And that is why awareness matters.
Wear It Pink is about more than simply changing the colour of your shirt for a day. It is about starting conversations, encouraging people to know what is normal for their body, supporting those going through diagnosis and treatment, and helping fund research and support that can change lives.

Over the last few months, you’ve seen a little bit of what happens when a bunch of completely different lads get together.
Different careers.
Different personalities.
Different interests.
Different backgrounds.
Yet somehow it works.
Because Round Table isn’t looking for one particular “type” of bloke.
We’re looking for you to bring whatever your thing is.
Maybe you’re the organiser.

The one with completely ridiculous ideas.

🧲🌙 **DID WE FIND THE LOST TREASURE OF BEVERLEY BECK?**

Well… clearly not, because we’re still here to talk about it. 😂

Did we find much?

**Sadly, no.**

Did we think about the time of year when we planned an outdoor evening beside Beverley Beck?

**Absolutely not.** 🥶

Did we have a laugh anyway?

**Of course we did.**

Armed with our small but enthusiastic **Temu-purchased magnet**, the boys headed down to Beverley Beck to see what hidden treasures might be lurking beneath the surface.

And to be fair… the magnet definitely kept grabbing onto *something*. 👀

Unfortunately, there’s quite a big difference between:

**“I’VE GOT SOMETHING!”**

and…

**“I’ve actually got enough magnet to pull it up.”** 😂

So, has Liayle already been back on Temu looking at considerably stronger magnets?

**Yes indeed.** 🤦‍♂️🧲

One thing is certain:

**WE’RE DOING THIS AGAIN.**

Preferably in the spring or summer, when it’s warmer, lighter and we can actually see what we’re doing. 😂

A massive thanks to the lads who came out and gave it a go.

We might not have found the lost treasure of Beverley…

…but there’s a reasonable chance at least one of us has caught a cold. 🤧😂

And that’s exactly what Round Table is about.

Sometimes the activity is brilliant.
Sometimes the plan is questionable.

Tonight, Beverley Round Table 247 are swapping the usual social for something a little more… unpredictable.
We’re heading out for Magnet Fishing to see what hidden treasures, forgotten relics and completely random bits of metal we can pull from beneath the water.
Will we find something historic?
Something valuable?
A shopping trolley?
Half a bike?
Or just several kilos of mud and regret? 😂

👀 YOU’VE BEEN WATCHING… SO WHAT’S STOPPING YOU?
Maybe you’ve seen the sausage making.
The murder mystery.
The build nights.
The ridiculous projects.
And now apparently we’re throwing magnets into rivers. 😂
Perhaps you’ve thought:
“That actually looks like a laugh.”
Then immediately followed it with…
I won’t know anyone.
I’m not really the outgoing type.
I don’t know what Round Table actually is.
I’ll go another time.
Sound familiar?
Here’s the thing.
You don’t need to know anybody.
You don’t need to be sporty, confident or the loudest bloke in the room.
You don’t need experience.
And you definitely don’t need to commit your entire life to it.
You just need to come along once and see what you think.
Round Table is simply a group of ordinary local lads aged 18–45 getting out of the house, trying things we probably wouldn’t organise ourselves, making new mates and doing some good along the way.
Worst case?
You try something different for an evening.

You find your people.

💙🧡 NATIONAL ADOPTION WEEK — EVERYONE DESERVES TO FEEL THEY BELONG 💙🧡
This week is National Adoption Week — a time to recognise the families, children and young people whose lives are shaped by adoption, and the importance of giving people somewhere they feel safe, valued and that they truly belong.
That idea of belonging is something we understand at Beverley Round Table 247 too.
We might not be building families in the same way, but we are always looking to welcome new members into ours.
Different jobs.
Different backgrounds.
Different personalities.
Different life experiences.
That’s what makes a good Table.
You don’t need to already know someone.
You don’t need to be the loudest person in the room.
You don’t need a particular career, hobby or type of personality.
If you’re a local man aged 18–45 and you fancy meeting new people, trying new things and doing something positive in the community, there’s a place for you here.
Some of us joined for the socials.
Some joined to make friends.
Some wanted to give something back.
Most of us probably had no idea quite what we were getting ourselves into. 😂
But somewhere along the way, strangers become mates and a group becomes something you genuinely feel part of.
So during National Adoption Week, perhaps we’ll borrow the theme in our own little way:
👀 Maybe it’s time for Round Table to “adopt” another new member into The Boys.
No matter where you’ve come from or what your story looks like, you’ll be welcomed for who you are.

🚌 ANOTHER PIECE OF THE PUZZLE… THANK YOU ACKLAMS 👀
Our top secret December project is continuing to come together behind the scenes, and we’re incredibly grateful to have another brilliant local business supporting the journey.
A huge thank you to Acklams Coaches for agreeing to provide us with secure storage for the project during December and afterwards.
It might not be the most glamorous part of a big project, but having somewhere suitable to keep everything safe, protected and ready for what comes next is absolutely essential — and their support makes a real difference to what we’re able to achieve.
Acklams are firmly rooted here in Beverley, with their head office and depot based on Barmston Close, and they’re well known across East Yorkshire and beyond for reliable group travel and community connections. Acklams Coaches
They’re also actively working towards more sustainable travel through initiatives aimed at reducing fuel use and emissions — something that fits brilliantly with the greener thinking behind what we’re building. Acklams Coaches

💙🧡 A HUGE THANK YOU TO BEVERLEY TOWN COUNCIL 💙🧡
We’re incredibly grateful to Beverley Town Council for awarding Beverley Round Table 247 a £1,000 grant to help us purchase 2 x JBL 320 speakers for our new sound system.
This support will make a real difference to what we do, helping us create bigger, better and more engaging experiences at future events, community projects and activities across Beverley.
The new sound system will be a fantastic asset for Beverley Round Table 247, not only for future events in general, but also for something a little more mysterious… 👀
It will play an important part in our top secret December project, which is still very much under wraps. 🤫🎄
Support like this helps local groups like ours continue to grow, do more for the community and bring people together through events, projects and fundraising.
So from all of us at Beverley Round Table 247 — thank you to Beverley Town Council for your support.
We’re looking forward to putting it to very good use.
