Probably one of the freakiest plastering jobs I’ve ever done 😅

This was inside a funeral directors mortuary. Safe to say it wasn’t the most pleasant place to spend a day working. The atmosphere in there was something else… especially once the walls and ceilings were opened up. Felt like a scene from a psychological thriller at times. 🕯️

That said, a job’s a job, and I’m really pleased with how it turned out in the end. Lots of damaged areas, awkward repairs, overhead patching and uneven surfaces to bring back to life, but we got there 💪

From crumbling lath and failing plaster to a clean, solid finish ✨
This ceiling in Congleton, Staffordshire was in desperate need of repair. The customer wanted to keep the original coving, so extra care was taken while removing the damaged ceiling.
With time being a priority, we opted for plasterboard and board finish to get the room transformed quickly and efficiently. The result speaks for itself 👌

Customer removed the wall, dividing the Dinning room and kitchen, to give it a more spacious/open plan feel. In my opinion, they definitely made the right choice.

Old ceiling in lounge needed removing, due to the paster failing on top of artex, that was done a few years ago, by another plasterer. Customer wanted to keep the coving and there wasn't enough depth on the coving to put up fresh boards. So we went with the option of trimming around the edge of the coving to free up the old ceiling, rip it down and replace with new boards and skim. What do you think of this ceiling?

Plastering job done last year 2025. All the walls where meshed and Thistle bonded before skimming to add more strength 💪. Turned out well, customer happy, as always. This is the first time ive done an audio voice over on a video, so hope you can understand myself.

Small Monday job all done. Customer had a leak from one of the pipes above. The plasterboard had to be removed from the ceiling and a section in the wall. Reboarded and skimmed.

This job has broken me. All walls have been meshed, Thistle bonded and skimmed. The reason for meshing the walls, was because of craking on a major scale. The old render was solid on tge walls, but as it was put over the top of Thermal light blocks, it was easier and more cost effective to reinforce with mesh, than take it right back. Does it work, YES. Customer is extremely happy with the final Finnish.
