A bespoke iroko gate fitted into the existing frame at the client’s request. While our preference would normally be to replace the frame at the same time, we were able to carry out a number of repairs, install new stops and ironmongery, and fit the new gate to suit.

To help retain the character of this listed property, we kept to the original design. The gate has been supplied with a single coat of stain, with the client planning to apply further coats to darken the finish and achieve a closer match to the existing frame.

A great result that respects the property’s original features while giving it a new lease of life

Made from hardwood sapele, this bespoke coffee hatch was designed and installed to complement the roastery’s space while providing a practical serving point for their tasty coffee.

Featuring a central sliding sash, it allows coffee to be served quickly and with ease.

A recent install—Hardwood ‘sapele’ stable door, a style that continues to be a popular choice. With a cross-section glass orientation with insulated tongue and groove boarding below, helping to improve both thermal efficiency and everyday comfort without compromising on appearance. Finished in Farrow & Ball ‘Pigeon’.

A few close ups of a project from December which haven’t been posted until now due to ongoing works in the property.

I have to say the client has done a great job with the colour choice, creating a great contrast in the space.

The details we added to these built in units were designed around the character of this period home, making sure the finishing touches tied in with the style and existing features of the property.

Two ledged vertical boarded doors and a four-panel door made to match the originals, exactly as per the customer’s requirements.

The client was keen to keep the original design with just a few minor tweaks, including retaining the original bolt on one of the doors.

All doors are made using ‘sapele’ hardwood and fitted with external ironmongery that will last many years.

They are fully sealed for now and awaiting their final coat of paint once the weather improves.
