Although it is advertised as starting at 6. The doors do not actually open til 6 so there maybe a 15 minute wait to check set up.
That gives you time to.look at the work pn the walls.

Suzanne has completed her epic ,"hulls and ropes" piece.Amazing experimentation with paint to acheive the rust surfaces. Added to the hull work is the very close observation of rope and how it works and hangs. All this was aided by much sketchbook study. Brill.

Gil has finished her wonderful rock face painting. The textures and form of the rocks was created by scraping colours together on the canvas with pallet knives and card. Details were then brushed in. Great stuff.

Carolyn finished her pen and wash piece just before we stopped for the book festival. It was quite a task as it had to be done over three weeks as the scene kept changing because of the tides and changing light. All done by working from looking through the window of St. Mary's. Great use of the pen for drawing and adding tone
The drawing complemented by good use of the water colours. A bit of a first for our classes.
