John sent us a few snaps this evening and it’s safe to say he’s absolutely delighted with his new van! 😍

We’ve got a feeling this one is going to be kept sparkling clean, polished to perfection and treated like royalty for the foreseeable! 😂✨

💦🔍 A little bit of pool history and a little bit of detective work!

One of our very good friends has a leak in her pool, so we’ve been doing our best to track down where that pesky water is escaping — without her having to spend a fortune on specialist leak detection! 🕵️‍♂️💧

This pool is a particularly special one to us because we originally built it way back in 1979! ❤️

And here’s the really lovely part… before we became Albatross Pools, we were Britannia Pools, and it was our tradition to put a Britannia coin into every pool we built. 🇬🇧🪙

So imagine our delight when we found this one, still sitting there after all these years! We think there can’t be too many of these left in the pools we built, making this a rather special little piece of our history. 🥰

The good news? It looks like a little regrouting may be all that’s needed, and we’re confident this pool will be back to gleaming next summer! ✨🏊‍♀️

Almost 50 years on and still looking after the pools we built — now that’s what we call a long-term relationship! 💙

Another fantastic before & after pool valet from Jackson this week!

He really does know his stuff — transforming a pool from dirty and completely unswimmable to bright blue, sparkling and inviting in just a couple of hours! 💙🏊‍♂️

It’s amazing what a little expertise, the right treatment and some hard work can achieve.

A New Van Has Arrived! 🚐🎉

Our recently appointed Senior Technician, John, was given a real treat this week when his brand-new van finally arrived at the yard!

Now it’s here, we just need to get it sign-written and looking the part before sending John out on the road to work his magic. 👀

Whilst commissioning a pool yesterday, we also had the pleasure of fitting this amazing Hanna dosing system.

The system automatically doses the pool with chlorine and acid, helping to keep the water perfectly balanced and looking its absolute best with minimal effort from the owners.

We did have a tiny setback when the brand-new pump decided it didn’t want to play ball! 😅 Thankfully, Dave, our Company Director and Owner, has a lifetime of experience under his belt and was able to diagnose and fix the problem in no time.

Once everything was up and running, we left this newly commissioned pool in the very capable hands of its forever owners — chemically balanced, crystal clear and glistening exactly as every swimming pool should. 💙✨

Commissioning Day 🏊‍♂️

Yesterday, we headed back to commission one of our latest swimming pool builds — a pool that you may recognise from our socials, as we’ve shared the journey from start to finish!

Despite those big, dark grey clouds hanging overhead, the pool is now ready for the family to enjoy. ☁️💦

During commissioning, we check everything is just right, including:

🔹 The pool finish
🔹 The plant room and equipment
🔹 Water chemistry
🔹 Pool operation and controls
🔹 And, of course, making sure the client knows how everything works should they ever need to use it themselves.

This client has chosen to have us look after the pool going forward, but we always think it’s important that our clients understand what we’re talking about — even if they’re leaving the day-to-day care to us!

We also had to install a dosing system on this particular pool… but that’s another update! 👀

Another pool completed, commissioned and ready to make some great memories. 💙
