Are You a Landlord with an Out of Date Electrical Condition Report?

We recently carried out an EICR (Electrical Installation Condition Report) for a live Airbnb property. During the inspection, we discovered the lighting circuits were in poor condition, so the only safe solution was to rewire the circuits, splitting the loads between upstairs and downstairs for improved safety and efficiency.

During the rewire, we also replaced all pendants, lamps, switches, and installed new IP-rated fittings to ensure the installation met current safety standards and provided a modern finish throughout.

As part of the remedial works, we also installed new smoke alarm circuits and replaced the consumer unit with a modern, fully compliant model.

Working closely with the landlord, we scheduled the work between guest bookings to minimise disruption. The project required chasing out walls, so we included a plastering package, completing all electrical and plastering works within just 3 days, leaving the property ready for decorating.

Sometimes the jobs aren’t always pretty, but the results speak for themselves — safe, compliant, and ready for the future.
