Yesterday, I did upgrade on wall lights x 5 & 2 x centre lights. Original lights was installed in 1978, the year the house was built.
Fitted customers lights, purchased from Dunelm. If all lights on -total 16 led lamps load =40 Watts 😇 New lights & energy savings

Back in 2017, when we was remodelling The Buddha Bay Balcony, we took out the storage heaters & put in under floor heating. The apartment is all electric.
With energy prices going through the roof in 2022 & 2024 the lounge floor underfloor heating failed.
In December 2025, I added 2 x panel heaters to the lounge & 1 x panel heater to the hallway.
To date, the under floor heating in the bedroom has only been on once.

On cold days, we put all 3 panel heaters on- In about 1 hour all the flat is cosy & warm. This enables to turn off 2 x panel heaters.

If flat is over warm, we turn temperature down on existing heater. Resulting in cosy warm flat & cheaper energy running.

The panel heaters can be purchased for around £85.

Customer reported that 2 of her 5 kitchen downlights not working.

On further inspection, tested 2 x lights, they just needed new bulbs. Old bulbs 50 watts each = 250 watts load.

They was also on a dimmer switch, common mistake is not to replace switch if fitting led bulbs. Old switch minimum load of 40 watts. New switch operates on a minimum load of 5 watts.

Picked up a pack of ten dimmable bulbs for £16.99.
New led dimmer switch for £10.99.

Kitchen load now 12.5 watts 5 bulbs using 75% less energy than 1 old halogen bulb. 😇

Just Installed another set of these colourful babies.

Once up , they do what it says on the box- all year round lighting available, whatever the occasion, or choose the bright white for extra security. They work off an app & you can set to timer.

All previous installs, have been ladder work( houses not as below ), usually I work with Mick, ladder work it takes two to install.

However this customer, was having his painted all round, so he had scaffolding in place
Interestingly the install took the same time in man hours.
