Another great project coming to a close, works are progressing well on the banks of the River Mersey at Woodside Ferry Terminal.

Wirral Council have some exciting plans in place with the new space we are making for them, they intend to build a brand new attraction next to the terminal, they are developing new homes a hotel, plus the new battle of the Atlantic U-Boat museum.

It’s been a great project to be involved in, we have also been carefully working around a magnificent mural, The Two Dockers, by Paul Curtis, a great piece of street art, that we are currently looking for a buyer to be the proud owner of, with all proceeds going straight to Claire House Hospice.

Another week, another job. This time it’s something a bit different.

Working for A&P Group Ltd in Falmouth, TDS have been tasked with the breakout of 2 no. dock wall recesses in preparation of a ship docking.

This involves crane lifting of two 22 tonne excavators into the dry dock so we can proceed with the breakout work and removal of all waste material on completion.

Another great project has started for SGN in Kilmarnock, Scotland.

The project will involve the safe dismantling of 1 no. above ground gas-holder, ancillary pipe work and structures followed by infilling.

Weather has certainly been a challenge this week with temperatures plummeting to -9c.

Another one of our projects coming to a close.

Working for Peel Ports in Birkenhead, TDS were tasked with the safe dismantling of 2 transit sheds along with asbestos removal and general site clearance.

Another great project kicking off for SGN in the Eastbourne area.

This one is programmed for 14 months and will be split into a number of phases.

The first phase requires the safe dismantling and removal of 6 high pressure bullet tanks, each 72m in length.

De-watering is currently ongoing of 2 below ground gas holders, we will then be tasked with the safe dismantling and removal of both gas holders.

We have completed the demolition of the three tanks in Birkenhead for UM Terminals, we will be clearing up this area today and tomorrow in preparation for handing the site back over to our client, another great project with a fast turn around.

Tank removal for UM Terminals in Birkenhead is progressing well and up to now we are ahead of schedule.

The majority of tanks 1 and 2 have already been dismantled and processed for scrap.

We are now half way through the third and final tank, an opening has been made to allow for machine access, as works will now take place from within the tank where we will be making a start on the removal of the roof sheeting.

Job Description

Technical Demolition Services Limited are looking to employ demolition labourers / burners for work on sites across the UK. The candidate must be willing to work away from home and travel to the work location. The candidates salary will be dependant on experience.

The successful candidate will undertake general duties as instructed by management.

Requirements:

Previous demolition experience and in the use of flame cutting / burning scrap metal.
Must hold a valid CSCS, CCDO, CPCS, NPORS card with the relevant categories.
Proven track record in the demolition industry.
Ability to work in a team.
Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions.
