🔵🟡 PROJECT COMPLETION 🔵🟡

We have successfully been awarded practical completion on our 400Kv AIS upgrade project.
This was handed over with zero defects and ahead of programme.
We have received some amazing feedback from the DNO and our client.
This was the first project for this client who has since awarded us the 400Kv infrastructure and cable installation on the same project.
I am incredibly proud of the site team and the backroom staff who has worked with the upmost professionalism in delivering this project.
I also want to say a massive thank you to our supply chain Buckhurst Plant Hire Limited has supported us all the way through.

🔵🟡 O’ROURKE CONSTRUCTION 🔵🟡

The team has successfully installed the new section of the 400kv cable.
The cable was pulled above ground along rollers and installed on to the GIS termination.
The team laid out ducts along the easement to assist in moving the cable above ground and positioning the cable within the trough.
The tail end of the cable and slack was manoeuvred to a position where the tail end of the cable could be transitioned under existing services at the new Joint Bay end.
The cable has been secured within the trough using the cable cleats.

Slightly tricky installation with the cable manoeuvring, but the OCL cable installation did a great job.

We are absolutely delighted to announce that O'Rourke Construction will continue as the official sleeve sponsor of Tranmere Rovers Football Club for the fifth consecutive season.
Reaching this five-year milestone is something we're incredibly proud of, and it reflects the strong relationship we've built with the club. Everyone at O'Rourke Construction is excited to continue supporting the Super White Army, and we look forward to hopefully what will be a successful season.

Due to changes in the SOW, the team are preparing to overlay a new section of cable from the GIS terminations to a new joint bay, connecting the new cable to the existing cable.

In preparation for the new cable installation, an old section of cable has been removed from the GIS termination and from within the troughs.
The existing cable has been repositioned from the pre core drilled trough wall, into the new joint bay location.
The scaffolders are currently erecting the scaffolding tower, designed to accommodate the safe vertical cable installation route and the lifting well to accommodate the safe & secure lifting of materials, accessories, and equipment.
Well done to the civils/cables installation team and the scaffolders.

As another incredible Craic by the Creek Irish Festival has ended, we're left with full hearts, smiling faces, and memories that will last a lifetime.
Year after year, this festival brings people together, but this one felt extra special. It was, without doubt, one of the very best yet. From the outstanding music from all the artists to the laughter, friendships, family moments, great craic, every part of the weekend reminded us why Craic by the Creek means so much to so many.
A real highlight of the weekend was seeing the Queen of Country, Philomena, take to the stage. A true legend of Irish country music, her performance was one that so many had waited years to see. For many on us, it was the fulfilment of a lifelong dream, and watching the smiles and the emotion in the crowd was something truly special. Moments like these are what make Craic by the Creek so unforgettable.
All of us at O'Rourke Construction, echo the sentiments shared by so many over the weekend. We feel truly privileged and honoured to be the headline sponsor of Craic by the Creek, and it is never something we take for granted. What began as a sponsorship has grown into something far more meaningful, a genuine friendship between our families, built on shared values and mutual respect. It is a partnership we are incredibly proud of and one we cherish as much as the festival itself.
We are also grateful for the opportunity to spend the weekend alongside fellow sponsors. The shared enjoyment of such a special event is a wonderful part of the Craic by the Creek experience.
