As a local electrician, my reputation means everything to me. Everyone who knows me and works with me knows I am polite, friendly, and take immense pride in my work. ⚡️

Recently, a completely fake review was left on my page accusing me of things I have never done. I have never met this person in my life. It is incredibly frustrating that Facebook allows accounts with zero friends to leave damaging, false feedback without strict rules in place to protect businesses. ‼️

Thankfully, my diary is fully booked, and I am far too busy delivering top-tier service to my real clients to let this slow me down. 📅

To whoever is trying to damage my business reputation: please gather actual facts and proof before accusing me of something I have never done in my life.

⚡ Consumer Unit Upgrade Completed⚡

A recent EICR flagged several safety issues that needed urgent attention.🚨

Here’s what we found and fixed:
• No earth on the incoming supply — Western Power contacted to resolve.
• No isolator switch for safe isolation — supplier contacted.
• Openings and missing cable glands in the consumer unit.
• Exposed cables around the board.
• Main tails not correctly identified.

All sorted with a new, fully compliant consumer unit installed to current British Standards — keeping the property safe and future‑proof.

Great day today at the NAPIT Expo Technical Roadshow BS 7671 Amendment 4 Masterclass 2026 in Coventry.
Really informative sessions, plenty of technical updates, and good to meet other professionals from the industry. Always good to keep up to date with the latest changes and best practices in the electrical sector.

‼️This video is difficult to watch, but it highlights a serious issue — electrical safety.
A young boy was electrocuted in a pub where the electrical installation was outdated and electrical work had been carried out by someone without the proper qualifications.
Too often people choose the cheaper option or get DIY to sort out electrical work without understanding the risks. Electrical work — even minor work — must be properly tested and certified by a qualified electrician.
Recently I carried out an EICR where I found multiple safety issues. The customer asked if I could still issue a satisfactory report despite knowing about the problems. I refused and issued an Unsatisfactory EICR, listing the defects that must be rectified within 28 calendar days or sooner if there is higher risk.
Electrical safety is not just paperwork — it protects lives.
Please think carefully before allowing unqualified people to carry out electrical work. Saving money should never come before safety.
