A recent job at a hospital in Walsall involved repairing a damaged drain from inside one of the wards.
To get to the damaged section, the team had to excavate through the concrete floor before removing the old pipework and installing a new 110mm section.
Once that was done, the remaining pipe was relined using the Blue Light system from an external manhole, which meant no further excavation was needed.
The new drainage was then tested and checked with CCTV before the excavation was filled and concreted back to floor level.
Not the easiest working environment for a drainage repair, but a good job completed with disruption kept to a minimum.
