We are understanding more and more the importance of bees and their role in our ecology. We love hearing of an ever increasing number of our personal friends and colleagues who have undertaken bee keeping courses as either purely a hobby or to go on and include it in their work.

Their busy buzzing supplies the soundtrack to our summer – and by spotting them I’ve found a fresh sense of inner peace, says Alison Benjamin
