Nice new fuse board installed today along with new sockets, switches and light fittings.
Whilst installing these we found some "interesting".... Well...... dangerous wiring!
Bare wires under the floorboards, fittings without earth's connected amongst other things.. all now corrected and left safe for the customer...

Another property made safe today.. got called in to replace the old fuse board. Found bare wires left under the floorboards where someone had removed an old socket and they'd just left the wires loose and also loose wires in the loft from when the shower had been (badly) installed.. It was an accident waiting to happen!
all nice and safe now.. going back Monday to replace all the old sockets, switches and light fittings. Old single sockets will be replaced with new double sockets and some of the 2 way switches aren't wired properly so we'll be sorting that out for them too...
