From my previous post. After putting a grommet in the back box and insulating the cable the circuit was still tripping. So I chopped the plaster off underneath the socket and found that someone had cut through the cable and put a piece of insulating tape over it and buried it in the plaster. Fortunately there was enough cable under the floor to pull up and fit into the box after cutting the broken part of the cable off.

Went to a customers house as their electric kept on tripping. On close examination of the sockets, there are no Grommets in the back box to protect the cables. You can see where the insulation is worn and was arching. But this wasn't the main problem.

There were 14 circuits in only 7mcb's, now each circuit all have they're own rcbo's
