The super structure for this replacement dwelling in Thornaby is almost complete, just waiting for the windows and the block to be rendered. The dwelling is to be an energy efficient, 3-bedroom dwelling with a double height - large open plan kitchen/living/dining area to the rear, constructed in SIPs panels for the walls & roof. It will be heated and cooled via MVHR system combined with an ASHP. PV slates have been installed to the roof.

Windows are being installed for this large detached, 4 bedroom property in Barnard Castle just off Green Lane, following planning permission that was obtained by Box Architectural Services Ltd. The property uses natural stone and slate for the walls and roof - reflecting the character of the surrounding area, but the large glazed areas and mezzanine level give it a modern twist that overlook the large curtilage area.

Following building regulations being obtained by BoxAS Ltd, work has commenced on this existing building that re configures the internal layout to create two apartments over three storey's. The ground floor apartment will be a single bedroom with a good size living and double bedroom and the second apartment having three bedroom with a good size living, kitchen and double bedroom with a dressing area and two ample sized single bedrooms. Hope everyone had a good Christmas period, here are some projects currently on-site and some just recently approved with more in the pipeline. Going from top to bottom and left to right, the projects include a new build dwelling in Barnard Castle, internal reconfiguration to create to apartments in Coundon, a 2-storey rear extension at Lanchester, a side extension and internal reconfiguration to an existing bungalow in Barnard Castle, a 2-storey rear extension and internal reconfiguration in Bishop Auckland, submitted planning for 4 houses in Bishop Auckland, planning permission for 4 house and a single dwelling in Washington

A great way to end the year, after the client had been refused planning permission, and the appeal dismissed when using another agent, the client approached Box Architectural Services Ltd to make another planning submission. The project is for four new build dwelling houses, made up of 2 house types that have a mix of 3 and four bedrooms in the Washington area. The improvements to the refused scheme and additional information provided by BoxAS Ltd have been considered acceptable by the LPA and approval has been granted.

Work is now finished for this new build dwelling in the County Durham area. The dwelling replaces an existing outbuilding using the same footprint to create a 3 bedroom property with open plan living space to the ground floor. The glazed elements ensure that the surrounding countryside is acknowledged and is a main feature of the property

Following Box Architectural Services Ltd securing planning & building regulation approvals, here are some internal shots for a two storey side extension with the layout to the existing house being reconfigured. The project is based in Hunwick, and provides an open plan kitchen/dining area to the ground floor and a large master bedroom with ensuite and dressing area to the 1st floor. The render was preferred for the extension instead of trying to match a brick that was discontinued some time ago
