🌞🌞 It's been another warm week and we've been making progress on this decking job in Clun. Aswell as some Bespoke joinery items leaving the workshop.

As you can see the old one was completely rotten and very dangerous.

New Deck:
- English Oak Trim
- Ceder posts And Ballustrading to follow
- Venice Grey Decking
- Inspection hatch to accomadate a manhole below the decking

-Spliced and repaired any rotten wood

All timber has at least one ideal use, at Shropshire Hardwoods we use the right species for the right job.

This 50-60 year old cedar shingle shows how important this is.

It is not rotten, just worn away by wind and weather.

We had the pleasure of fitting out a shop for the Poetry Pharmacy in York. As always, a great team to work with 👍

We started with a floor plan in Bishops Castle, and we set about making all the fittings fit inside our dimensions.

After everything was altered and adjusted to suit we then delivered it to York where we assembled all the fittings and made it a shop worthy of holding the Poetry Pharmacy name 👌

This huge wind blown English Oak is from a local estate and is destined for one of our upcoming joinery projects.

We have estimated it to have a volume of 471 cubic feet or 13.3 cubic metres it is 17 metres long and has a mid diameter of 1.1m.

Once at our yard we will mill it for The joinery to manufacture a Staircase, Wardrobes, Doors, Skirting boards, Door linings and Architraves .

We will then return all the joinery to the estate to be installed into a new build for the landowner.

We will post updates as the project progresses over the next 12 months.
