Happy and welcome September 💚

Still lots of ripe tomatoes being picked here ..in fact these and a few more have made two more batches of sauce being cooked as we speak !

I really think the polytunnel helped this year.. the Toms as well as the Chillis and Sweet Peppers have romped in the heat this year 🥵

An ode to August …
.a month of scorching weather, a seaside trip, great harvests, an eclipse, new partners in crime, family birthdays and anniversaries, a day at the races ..and finally rain 😎

All-in-all a fabulous busy, bountiful, month but I’ve loved every second 😍

It’s our 22nd Wedding Anniversary today and yet again Mr S has proved he is the bestest husband on Earth 💖
.he bought me this egg chair ..I’ve wanted one for ages

Not only this but he brings me a coffee in bed every morning …

and for those of you who will automatically call me a ‘princess’ for this (as I once was told by someone on here !) it’s because his dad did it for his mum and he thought it was to romantic and a lovely thing to do for a loved one

For me it’s the small things that make marriage work being considerate and kind and wanting to do something sweet for a loved one is the minimum surely for ANY relationship?

Happy Wednesday and 💚

Danny has been with us for almost 3 years now since we met him at Woodgreen Pets Charity

He is the sweetest, funniest, calmest (until the zoomies/walk time /treats are on offer !) you could imagine ..such a gentle giant

He’s the reason to get up so early in the morning, he’s the reason we laugh, he’s the confidant who doesn’t answer back, so in many ways he’s rescued me too from many dark moments

Please consider a rescue/adopting if you’re looking at getting a dog there are so many wanting forever homes in the world especially senior dogs (and strangely male black greyhounds ..it breaks my heart )

To all pups this is for you and I quote that I love

‘God sent them to Earth without wings so we wouldn’t know they were angels ‘
