Garden Tidy Up in Broxbourne

A neglected garden in Broxbourne was in need of a good tidy up.

Various trees and shrubs were removed.

Grass was strimmed back down and w**ds removed from the patio.

General waste around the garden also removed.

Stumps ground out including a particularly stubborn buddleia which required the removal of one of the fence panels to fully acces.

All the former beds around the garden were then covered with grass seed as well as any bare patches in the lawn.

Rippon Buff Indian sandstone installed to replace old paving and grass covering the front lawn.

Variously sized sleepers placed vertically shoulder to shoulder to allow for a large planting area out the front.

Bespoke picket fence also installed to close of the bed from the footpath.

New Fence installed in Waltham Cross!

Old picket fence removed which was completely rotten and half fallen down.

3 foot closeboard panels on top of 12” gravel boards.

The gravel boards and concrete posts help to prevent the onset of rot in the panels ensuring that this fence stands for a long time!

All panels staggered with the fall of the garden (excluding one panel which has to sit proud due to a man hole cover).

Full Garden Renovation in Braintree!

Customer had recently moved into this property and the garden has been left in a terrible state with rotten decking and a mossy lawn.

A new Indian sandstone patio was installed on top of 3 tonnes of compacted type 1.

White pebbles were used to replace the lawn as a large tree at the end of the garden was sucking all the moisture from the lawn. These were placed on top of a w**d membrane to prevent any growth.

A small rockery was installed a a feature piece to as some colour and character to the garden.

A small border area was left around the edge of the pebbled area to allow for either planting or pots in the future. A layer of bark covered the beds.

The previous decking had fallen victim to rot and had started to become dangerous.

The new deck was angled with a slight fall towards the garden, allowing rainwater to drain off.

Raised Sleeper Bed constructed in Matching Green last year.

Sleepers were positioned on a bed of sand a cement, securing their position and keeping them above ground level to prevent rot. The sleepers were also lined with plastic membrane to further prevent rot.

4 lattice trellis were installed along the back, allowing for climbing plants.

Decking board was placed all around the top allowing for seating all the way around when working in the bed.
