💚Wade Group Summer Social 2026💚

After an incredibly busy summer, we took a well deserved afternoon off to eat, drink and have a bit of fun!

Our summer social is a small way of saying thank you to the team who keeps Wade Group going. We really couldn’t do it without you💚

Our summer socials began back in 2022, following the sudden passing of a much-loved member of our team. Since then, we’ve made it a tradition to get everyone together, take a step back from the chaos and raise a glass in his memory🍻Cheers John🍻

A huge thank you to HIDDEN OAKS for hosting (and putting up with) us, The Striped Pig for keeping us well fed and eTeambuilding for the fab laser clay pigeon shooting🎯

Here’s to another busy year, fantastic team and remembering those who will always be a part of it💚

It’s a pleasure to be working on behalf of Longridge Town Council to redevelop the old bowling green into a new events space for the Longridge Community to use, share and enjoy.

As my role as Mayor of Longridge, I had the privilege of officially starting the redevelopment into a new events space on Monday Morning.

This bowling green has been part of our town’s history—friendly competition, quiet afternoons, and the community spirit that makes Longridge special. Since the Royal British Legion Club closed in 2018, it has stood vacant. Today, we begin writing its next chapter.

The plans will transform the bowling green into a flexible, year-round space for markets, performances, celebrations, fairs, and community gatherings. Funded by Ribble Valley Borough Council’s Shared Prosperity Fund, this project is an investment in Longridge—our community, our local economy, and our future.

Thank you to everyone who has helped get us here: fellow councillors on the working group, the contractors, and the residents whose support and ideas have shaped this project. And of course, our Clerk Mike Hill for all his work behind the scenes.

Breaking ground is a simple act, but it marks the moment a vision becomes real. With this first cut of the spade, the redevelopment of Townley Gardens is officially underway.

Here’s to the old bowling green—and to the new heart of our community. Let’s build something Longridge can be proud of.

We’re at a project in Accrington, where we’re recycling on site, adding value to the customers economic and environmental targets♻️

Reinforced concrete has been broken out, crushed to produce an aggregate and allows us to recycle the steel. The aggregate is then being re-used on site to prepare for the new surfacing♻️🪨

Another great playground transformation completed for

We stripped out the old playground, supplied and installed a full new range of quality play equipment, carefully chosen from a mix of suppliers to create plenty of variety, including an accessible roundabout & swing seat, and something for all ages 🛝

A huge upgrade for the local community, and made to be enjoyed for many years to come✅
