Inspired by traditional Japanese garden principles, this space combines carefully shaped pines, architectural planting, natural stone and an authentic granite lantern to create a garden that rewards quiet observation.

Nothing is accidental. Every plant, every texture and every view has been considered to create balance and harmony.

Great craftsmanship is measured in millimetres.

Bullnosed porcelain capping stones look beautifully simple when they're finished.

But creating a crisp, seamless external corner like this takes careful planning, accurate setting out and absolute precision when cutting every piece.

There's no trim to hide behind.
No filler to disguise an error.

Sometimes the best hedge isn't a hedge at all.

If you're looking to create privacy without feeling enclosed, Stipa gigantea—often called Giant Golden Oats—is one of the most elegant plants you can choose.

Unlike a traditional hedge, it doesn't create a solid barrier. Instead, its tall, airy flower stems gently filter the view, creating a semi-transparent screen that softens boundaries while allowing light, movement in the wind and glimpses of the garden beyond.

As the breeze catches the shimmering golden seed heads, the whole planting comes alive, adding movement and a beautiful, ever-changing quality that brick walls and timber fences simply can't match.

Every step should feel effortless.

Designing steps to a hot tub isn't simply about getting from one level to another.

It's about creating a feature that looks as though it has always belonged there.

The mitred corners, perfectly aligned decking boards and precision-cut angles all work together to create a seamless transition from the deck to the spa. Every cut has been carefully planned so that the geometry flows naturally around the structure.

There's no hiding poor workmanship with details like these.

It demands accurate setting out, meticulous cutting and the patience to get every joint exactly right.

The result is a set of steps that are as beautiful as they are practical—safe, comfortable to use and crafted to complement the overall design.
