When a few slates turn into a few days' work... 🔨

We originally went out to re-fix just two slipped slates, but once we got started, we discovered the rafters and fascia were badly rotted.

Rather than patching over the problem, we stripped out all the rotten timber and carried out the repair properly. We installed new 3x2 timbers,replaced the battens,fitted a new timber fascia, and even managed to save the existing soffits and bullnose fascia.

The finished result looks like we've never even been there – exactly how a quality repair should look.

Sometimes what seems like a small job uncovers bigger issues, but we'd always rather fix it right than leave hidden problems behind.
