We have recently been made aware of customers receiving phone calls from unknown numbers claiming to be from B*H, contacting regarding disrepair issues. There have also been instances of unsolicited door knocking across our estates.

Please be aware that these organisations are not working for or on behalf of B*H or Blackpool Council. If your property is due repair works, our Repairs Team will contact you to make an appointment prior to attending your property.

All B*H staff and partnering contractors carry photographic identification. Please remember to ask for identification to be shown by anyone attending your home.

The Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) for Blackpool’s parks, green open spaces and cemeteries has been in place for the past three years, helping to tackle anti-social and harmful behaviours.

The current order is now due for renewal and we want to hear your views.

The consultation closes on 27 November

If you live in and around the Grange Park area and have time to help, why not come along to the Neighbourhood Walkabout tomorrow (Thursday 8th October) as we meet at the corner of Argosy Avenue and Chepstow Road, FY3 7JL at 11am.

Meet your local Neighbourhood Officer to help identify any issues and areas for improvement. This walkabout will be focusing on Furness Avenue, Gateside Court, Furness Court, Convent Crescent, Gateside Drive, Argosy Avenue and Argosy Court.

As Gas Safety Week draws to a close, don't forget you can contact our Compliance Team for advice or guidance in relation to safety in your home.

❗ If you smell gas, think you have a gas leak or are worried that carbon monoxide fumes are escaping from a gas appliance, call the gas emergency number immediately on 0800 111 999.

🔥 Do not smoke, strike a match or operate light/switches
🔥 Turn off the gas at the control valve (usually near the meter)
🔥 Open the windows
🔥 Report the gas leak to B*H once you have contacted the emergency gas number

As part of Gas Safety Week, we are sharing tips to help keep you safe.

❗ Never do your own gas work.
❗ Before drilling or hammering, check that there is no risk of hitting a gas pipe.
❗ Ensure vents and flues are not blocked. They are there to ensure the gas appliances work safely, and blocking them could prevent this.
❗ Never attempt to fix your own gas appliances. If you suspect there is something wrong with your appliance, you must call us.
