Every collective starts with people. For us, just two guys (and a lot of tools) helping heat pumps deliver comfort without the high bills.

Meet Ally
Ally is not only an excellent drummer with a love for alternative rock, he’s also building a solid reputation in the world of heat pumps. With three years’ experience under his belt, he’s focused entirely on low-temperature heating design — with an active dislike of boilers! His attention to detail and uncompromising effort make him a brilliant teammate. If I’m Han Solo, Ally’s our Chewbacca — loyal, reliable, and keeping us on course with the latest in heat pump technology.

Meet Peter
I’ve been a heating engineer for 22 years and first worked on a heat pump back in 2018. Since then I’ve travelled across Scotland (and beyond) working on more than 600 systems. Along the way I’ve trained hundreds of engineers with Vaillant and Daikin, delivered workshops for Home Energy Scotland, and contributed to the Energy Saving Trust’s Heat Pump Installer Toolkit.

Starting the Renewable Technology Collective has been about one thing: helping heat pumps perform at their best. Clear communication, simpler controls, and the right partnerships mean we can turn underperforming systems into homes that are warm, efficient and frustration-free. With official service partnerships now in place with Daikin, Grant, Nibe and Mitsubishi, I’m excited about how many more homes we can support as we continue to grow.
