Two additional wall sockets supplied, cables chased into the wall and run in conduit.
One existing socket made available inside IKEA units, assembled and installed by me. Customer wished to run the printer on a shelf within the units.

Just completed a City and Guilds, Wall and Floor Tiling course in Edinburgh. Managed a Pass with Distinction, so all the hard work paid off.
Although I've done a lot of tiling in the past, I was self taught, so it was extremely beneficial to receive some formal training.

A snapshot of my week:-
-Converting a corner cabinet into a bookcase. I constructed a slide in unit, shaped to give greater depth in the middle of the corner. The customer is to paint it and I shall return to fit the metal bookcase strips and shelves.
-Running a couple of sockets from a fused spur on a ring circuit. Adding a attractive little down-light into a bathroom alcove.
-Hanging a door.

My name is Richard Howitt, and I am the owner of Specialist Joinery and Electrical Services based in Blairgowrie.
Cabinet Maker trained, I undertake joinery projects, from putting up shelves to kitchen installation to bespoke fitted furniture. My work and finishing is of a high quality, and I have a good eye for detail.
I hold a number of City and Guilds qualifications in Electrical Installation and Testing. This enables me to produce any necessary certificates required and sign off my own work. Reassuring if a new electrical supply is required to a shed or a kitchen circuit is altered. Typical work would be interior/exterior sockets and lighting, floodlighting, shower replacement, consumer unit upgrade/replacement, inspection and testing, EICR for landlords.
I have been involved in several large restoration projects. As a result of this, I have become proficient in taping and filling, and also plumbing. In March 2022 I am booked on a floor and wall tiling course, again City and Guilds, to increase my skill set in this area.
All of the above puts me in a strong position to offer an all-trades approach to most commissions, something I take real pride in.
