🎉 National Apprenticeship Week 2026 | 9–15 February 🎉

We’re getting ready to celebrate National Apprenticeship Week and the contributions our apprentices make to the team here at Portmore.

⭐️ We're proud to have been supporting apprenticeships since 2018 through our educational providers the JTL and Bournemouth and Poole College.

Our current apprentices are in year 3 and in year 1 and we will soon finalise our candidate to start in September 2026.

💡Our apprentices get hands on experience working on a wide range of electrical installations.
💡Conducting repairs and routine maintenance.
💡Testing, inspections, and EICRs.
💡They learn to be logical thinkers who can diagnose faults and problem solve.

Due to continued growth we are looking to recruit one fully qualified 18th Edition Electrician and one Approved 18th Edition Electrician

Approved Applicants must hold:
C&G 2391-52 Test and Inspect qualifications or equivalent

All Applicants must hold:
18th Edition Qualifications - (Happy to talk to those newly qualified)
ECS Gold Card
Full Clean Driving Licence

All aspects of electrical installations undertaken in the Domestic, Agricultural, Industrial and Commercial sectors.

The successful applicants will have good communication and time management skills, be able to work using own initiative and to tight deadlines, confident in working independently and as part of a team where necessary.

£16.95-£22.00 per hour, negotiable depending on experience and qualifications, opportunities for additional hours are always available.

Powered Access (MEWP) training and all Health and Safety Training will be provided if required.

Benefits Include: Company Vehicle, Uniform, Telephone, Ipad, Company Pension and 30 Days Holiday per annum (22 + 8 Bank Holidays).

These vacancies are a full time permanent roles.

Today the whole team under took an Emergency First Aid at Work training course, our sincerest thanks to Rob at Whitehorse Training Dorset for an informative day, LO's Cafe for providing us with a delicious buffet lunch and Rob at R Lukins Fitness for the venue.

We had a great day, learnt lots and should the need ever arise are now competent and able to assist with providing first aid.
