Another exterior project completed this week for a new customer in Old Ryton Village.

The mock Tudor beams, soffits and fascias, porch frame and front door were all thoroughly sanded and prepared, with any rotten or damaged areas repaired using Toupret Wood Repair Filler.

Once preparation was complete, all surfaces were coated with Johnstone’s Stormshield Flexible Undercoat before being finished in Stormshield Flexible Gloss. Designed to work together as a system, these coatings provide a durable, microporous finish that offers long-lasting protection against the elements while maintaining a high-quality appearance.

Despite the typical showery weather trying to slow things down, we managed to work around the conditions and get everything completed to a high standard.

A great transformation and another property protected for years to come. ✅

Nursery complete for new customers at Cottier Grange 👶🏻☁️

Coving installed and finished in brilliant white alongside the ceiling, coated with Leyland Trade Low Reflective Matt Emulsion for a clean, crisp finish.

All woodwork was fully prepped, undercoated and finished in Johnstone’s Trade AquaGuard Gloss – Brilliant White.

The walls were carefully prepared and sealed with Zinsser Gardz to stabilise and seal the chalky contract matt left by the builders before the wallcovering was installed.

The chosen wallpaper was Tiny Tots 2 Clouds by Galarie – a beautifully subtle mottled cloud design, creating the perfect calm and relaxing atmosphere for a nursery.

Bespoke panelling installed for new customers H/S/L in Killingworth.

Dado rail and wainscoting trim installed, primed, filled and sanded before being finished in acrylic durable matt — colour choice was ‘Pebble Shore’.

Walls above the new dado were fully prepped and finished in acrylic durable matt — colour is ‘Timeless’.

Ceilings finished in Leyland Trade Low Reflective Matt Emulsion – Brilliant White, with all woodwork fully prepped and finished in AquaGuard Gloss – Brilliant White.

From a blank all-white canvas to a warm, elegant and timeless feature space — the result speaks for itself 👌🏻

Feature Wall Friday!
Back at a returning customer’s home in Stargate Meadows for another amazing feature wall in the boys room 🔥

This one is Studio Job “Robber Baron” wallpaper — a bold industrial-luxury design packed with dramatic detail, inspired by wealth, power, machinery and architectural influences. Definitely not your average wallpaper and an absolute statement piece once up on the wall.

All walls fully prepped and sealed with Zinsser Gardz prior to wallcovering being applied, ensuring the perfect surface and long-lasting finish.

Colour change completed for a returning customer in Riding Mill.

The front door, although still holding a glossy finish, was starting to show its age with chips, cracks around the panels, and the odd run in the previous paintwork.

All areas were fully sanded back and repaired using Toupret UK wood repair filler to achieve a smooth, solid surface.

Topcoat choice was Zinsser UK AllCoat Exterior Matt, colour matched to Dulux “Overtly Olive”. While this product typically doesn’t require an undercoat, due to the depth of the previous blue, two coats of Zinsser Bullseye 123+ were applied first to improve adhesion and effectively block out the original colour.

Finished result came out spot on — and couldn’t have asked for better weather to get it done.

Exterior transformation complete at Bradley Fell Farm…

Every window and door was meticulously prepared, undercoated and finished in brilliant white gloss using the premium Johnstone's Trade Paints Stormshield flexible system — delivering outstanding durability with a flawless finish.

All exterior metalwork including drainpipes, door furniture, railings, gate, mailbox and lamps was carefully prepared and coated in black Zinsser UK AllCoat Exterior Satin, creating a crisp, elegant contrast that completes the look.

A high-quality finish designed to protect, enhance and stand the test of time 💪🏻

Exterior season has begun 👌

Back at Bradley Fell Farm to freshen up the garage block.

Prep work came first, addressing rotted timbers at the bottom of the doors — treated with Toupret wood hardener and rebuilt using Toupret wood repair filler to ensure a solid, long-lasting base.

Everything then sanded smooth, fully undercoated, and finished in a brilliant white gloss using Johnstone’s Trade Stormshield flexible system — a perfect combination for durability and finish.

Fascia boards and downpipes were also prepped, sanded, and finished in black using Zinsser AllCoat Exterior Satin, with hinges and handles picked out in the same for a clean, sharp look.

Another one brought back to life and ready to take on the elements 💪

H/S/L complete with dado installation for a new customer in Cottier Grange ✨

All walls fully prepped, with the dado rail installed to the customer’s chosen height for a clean, tailored finish.

The colour split really brings this space to life — ‘Slice of Brioche’ below the dado and ‘Noble Driftwood’ above, both from the Valspar range and colour matched into Johnstone’s Trade Acrylic Durable Matt, perfect for a high-traffic staircase.

Ceilings finished in brilliant white, while all woodwork was thoroughly prepped, undercoated, and completed in AquaGuard Gloss, also in brilliant white for that crisp contrast.

Returned to a customer from last year who had since had a socket fitted behind the TV, with the cable chased into the chimney breast.

First job was to install PVC channelling within the chase to protect the cable and Zinsser Gardz applied to bare plaster edges before filling over with Toupret Joint & Skim.
Once dry, the area was lightly sanded back and a second coat of filler applied.

After a final sand to achieve a smooth finish, two coats of durable matt emulsion were applied in Daffodil White to match the existing wall colour.

Small job, same standards.

No shortcuts, just quality—message now to book in.

Latest bespoke panelling installation complete for a new customer 👌

The client was happy with the existing wall colour – Dulux Almond White – but wanted to add something extra to elevate the staircase and hallway.

Bespoke panelling was the perfect solution to introduce depth, character and a stronger focal point through the space. Paired with Drop Cloth by Farrow & Ball, it really brings everything together and gives the area a more finished, high-end feel.
