Bitter/Sweet!

Me and the A-team... Awesome team of Arborists, recently had the pleasure of taking down this rather large and majestic Atlas Cedar in grounds of Howick Hall Gardens & Arboretum.
The one Cedar tree took a good team of men and some heavy machinery, 3 days to get it to ground level.

The tree had been in decline for some time and due to the fungal disease "Sirococcus tsugae", sadly had to be removed.

Said to be 180 years old, this tree will be a big miss but I'm confident that the staff at Howick will make great use of the newly gained space, in prime location, at the front of the hall.
