On Sunday, Treescapes, Teamed up with Above and Beyond tree care , carried out the removal of two large Poplar trees in Preston, following approval from the council.
Both trees appeared to be in good health from the outside, and we were asked several times why they needed to be removed.
The reasons became very clear:
🌳 1. They had massively outgrown their available space, with the root systems beginning to affect the pavements and nearby properties.
🌳 2. Once the trees were dismantled, we discovered significant cavities at the base of both trees. These extensive areas of decay had seriously compromised the structural integrity of the trees and could eventually have resulted in them failing onto nearby properties.
The important thing to remember is that a tree can look perfectly healthy from the outside and still have serious problems inside. 🌳⚠️
If you’re concerned about a tree on your property, don’t wait until there’s a problem. Get it professionally assessed.
A massive thank you to Andrew Seddon at Seddons Ground & Agricultural for assisting with the safe dismantling of both trees. A highly professional service and highly recommended. 👍
