SELF EMPLOYED

Anyone who is self employed will understand the different stresses you go through.

I am a self employed plasterer and I absolutely love my job but it also comes with a certain degree of stress and long hours at times.

But recently I am going to a lot of jobs where by customers have had other plasterers in and it's a really poor finish and very messy.

Now this is where the long hours come in.
Personally I don't just turn up at a job with my bucket and trowel 🤣

I have already been out the house since 6:45am picking up materials and any other protective equipment to keep the the property
clean and tidy to arrive at the job for 8:30 and get home around 5pm some nights only to go back out to price other work and arrive back after 8pm.

I believe it's not all about how the walls look because that should be non negotiable as it's your trade, it's also about how you conduct yourself in someone else's home,how much effort you make to keep the place spotless when the jobs complete and a really BIG thing is how comfortable you make the customer feel while your in their home.

But if I am honest most of my stress comes by getting the work life balance correct.
Switching off at weekends is what I aim for as making memories with my family is everything, as memories last forever money doesn't and fun memories are what I will remember

Anyway if you read this I appreciate it and hopefully it can help other people.
