💗 What an incredible achievement! 💗
On Sunday, Aly Leigh Shirley and their amazing family crossed the finish line at Race for Life — and completely smashed their fundraising target! 🎉🏃‍♀️
What began as a run in memory of three amazing mums became something truly powerful: a celebration of love, strength, remembrance, and hope.
Their determination, and dedication to such a meaningful cause has been truly inspiring from start to finish.
A huge thank you to everyone who donated, shared support, and cheered them on throughout their journey. Your kindness and generosity made a real difference. 💖
Together, they raised  £3000 for Cancer Research UK — Well done to all involved 👏✨

This Sunday, 3rd May, our incredible team members Aly, Shirley, and Leigh — alongside their amazing family and friends — will be taking on Race for Life.

They’re not just running… they’re doing it in memory of three truly special mums who will never be forgotten. 💕

So far, they’ve raised an incredible £1,820 — a testament to the love, strength, and support behind them.

Every step they take is for those we’ve lost, those still fighting, and a future free from cancer.

After over 30 years of dedicated service, we would like to extend our sincere thanks to Scott as he begins his well-earned retirement.🍾
From the very early days of the business, through its humble beginnings, to the successful and established company it is today, Scott has been a constant and invaluable presence. His commitment, hard work, and loyalty have played a fundamental role in shaping the growth and success of the organisation.
When Scott first started working for Central Demolition, he was the one and only surveyor based at our tiny office on Broomhill Road, we tended to only take on smaller projects. However, with Scott helping us we started to expand and take on much bigger projects including Motorola East Kilbride, Agilent Technologies South Queensferry, and Johnson & Johnston Livingstone.
Scott’s knowledge, experience, and steady approach will be greatly missed by colleagues and friends alike. He has not only contributed to the business but has also left a lasting impression on everyone who has had the pleasure of working alongside him.
Scott said” It Takes a special person to stay all this time at Central” and we could not agree more. 😊

We’re looking for a friendly, reliable operator to join us at our Landfill in Falkirk.

You’ll be working mainly with a CAT D6 Dozer, with some occasional use of a Bomag Compactor, helping keep the site running smoothly and maintaining the roads across the landfill.

It’s a hands-on role as part of a supportive team, so we’re looking for someone who’s happy to get involved in the day-to-day operations and muck in where needed.

🔧 The Role:
• Maintenance & servicing of HGVs and LGVs
• Fault finding & diagnostics
• MOT prep & inspections
• Repairs to brakes, engines, hydraulics & electrics
• Ensuring vehicles meet safety & compliance standards
 
What We’re Looking For:
• Proven experience with HGV/LGV repairs
• Strong diagnostic skills
• Ability to work independently
• Reliable, hardworking, and safety focused
• HGV licence (preferred but not essential)

It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of our much-loved colleague, Tam Brown.

Tam was part of the Central Demolition family for over 26 years. In that time, he was so much more than just another colleague — he was a friend to many, a mentor, and a familiar face who brightened up the day.

He truly loved his work, so much so that we often had to encourage him to take a holiday — something he never seemed too keen on doing because he simply enjoyed being part of the team. His dedication, work ethic, and quiet pride in what he did will always be remembered.

Tam will be deeply missed by everyone here at Central Demolition. Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with his daughters Carol, Amanada and Kirsty, his beloved grandchildren along with his wider family and friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Rest easy, Tam. Thank you for everything you gave to the team over the years. You will always be part of the Central Demolition family. 🖤

We are currently recruiting a fully qualified Asbestos Removal Operative to join our demolition and enabling works team across Scotland.

Role Requirements:
▪️ Valid Asbestos removal certifications (licensed works)
▪️ Proven experience on demolition / enabling works sites
▪️ Strong understanding of CAR 2012, HSE guidance & site compliance
▪️ Ability to work to RAMS, method statements & permit systems
▪️ Full UK driving licence – essential
