Take a look at this lighting point we came across on a recent job…

At first glance, it might just look a bit “messy”… but this one hides a much bigger problem ⚡

🔎 Here’s what we found:

Exposed conductors not properly enclosed

Poor terminations with visible copper

No proper connection enclosure

And the big one… NO EARTH CONTINUITY across FOUR lights in the kitchen

Let that sink in for a second.

That means if a fault occurred, there’s nothing to trip the protection. The safety system that’s supposed to protect you and your family? It simply wouldn’t work.

💡 In real terms: If a metal fitting became live… the only path to earth could be YOU.

This isn’t just “bad workmanship” — this is potentially dangerous.

⚠️ This is exactly why electrical inspections matter.

A lot of people assume:
