𝟮𝟭.𝟬𝟰.𝟮𝟲 A small example of re-naturing a residential garden; in this case, 𝘴𝘰𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘺 𝘣𝘦𝘦 habitats made from wooden blocks or tins with bamboo. An interesting fact is that in the UK there is just one species of honey bee, namely Apis mellifera. Whereas 90% of bees we see are solitary, of which there are 250 species in the UK (& up to 30,000 worldwide). As they are solitary & not territorial they are non-aggressive & very rarely sting. The point? Look after those solitary bees! 🐝⟡˚ ݁⋆˖₊.𓂃

Here @ Greenspace we do 'gardening' but what we really do is '𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘨𝘢𝘳𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨'. Biodiversity loss is something that many people worry about BUT there's lots you can do in your own garden to bring diversity back. 𝘉𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘥 𝘪𝘵 & 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦. We start will a survey of your garden, factor in proximity to other green spaces & then make a plan on how to increase the biodiversty. A bit more height, a wild flower patch, a small compost, a little well-placed deadwood, a small pond, a gap in the fence, a bird box or hedgehog feeding station. It all counts AND 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙠𝙨!
