Crop Rotation — border extension of the original illustration by the legend DiTerlizzi.

This is my second time altering this card! This time, the client requested the roots in the original image to extend over the vintage frame. I agreed on the idea as this works well visually. I also added runner beans and foliage to the bottom half to mirror DiTerlizzi’s original artwork.
My first version (swipe to see it!) was painted last year right at the start of my altering journey and featured a cheeky mole.
I like both versions, but I want to know what you think. Which one is your favourite? Let me know in the comments please. ☺️

Traditional Chinese Gaea’s Cradle — Full Border & Text Box Extension.

I was incredibly honoured to be trusted with this iconic piece of Magic history—and a beautiful Traditional Chinese printing at that! While I was thrilled at the prospect of extending Mark Zug’s legendary original illustration, I’ll admit I felt a wave of anxiety before I could even bring myself to start. 😅
I spent a few days just staring at the card, pondering the composition, and gathering up my courage before finally picking up the brush.

Now that it’s complete, absolute contentment has replaced all of that initial self-doubt and hesitation. I poured everything into ensuring this extension was executed with the utmost attention to detail, keeping its original magical appeal perfectly preserved.

Crystalline Sliver - Full Art replacement (Foil).

My first time altering a foil card! 💿 Turns out foil is much more forgiving than standard card stock—like learning to drive a manual car and then switching to automatic. 🏎️💨
Foil is notoriously hard to photograph, so swipe for a video where it can shine in all its glory! ✨
The hardest part? Training my brain to read SLIVER instead of SILVER. 🧠😂 It’s a cognitive slip called typoglycemia (or the orthographic neighborhood effect). My eyes just refused to see the letters swap!
