September already? 🍂⚡

We’re not quite sure where the summer went, but there’s plenty happening at E.R Electrical this month.

❄️ Domestic air conditioning is coming soon
After the heat we’ve had this summer, we’ll soon be offering domestic AC installations across Gloucestershire and the surrounding areas. You can already register your interest via our website.

🚗 EV charger installs have been keeping us busy
With the new September registration arriving, we’ve completed plenty of charger installations over the past few weeks. If your new EV is still on order and you haven’t sorted your home charger yet, get in touch.

🌙 Darker evenings are on the way
The clocks go back on 25 October, so now is a good time to think about security lighting, driveway lighting, exterior lighting, Ring doorbells and cameras before the nights really start drawing in.

We’re Growing Our Team

Are you an experienced electrical professional ready to step into a senior operational role?

E.R Electrical Services Ltd is looking for an Electrical Contracts Manager / Qualified Supervisor to join our growing team in Bourton-on-the-Water.

This is not just a desk-based management role. You will be involved across the full project journey, from pricing and planning through to site delivery, certification and final handover.

You will work closely with clients, engineers, subcontractors and our office team to keep projects moving safely, efficiently and to the high standard our customers expect.

We are looking for someone who can confidently:

• Manage multiple electrical projects
• Lead and support site teams
• Oversee labour, materials, budgets and timescales
• Attend surveys and client meetings
• Review certification and handover documentation
• Provide technical guidance to engineers
• Act as the company’s Qualified Supervisor
• Support the continued growth of the business

You will need strong electrical experience, commercial awareness and recognised industry qualifications, including:

• City & Guilds 2391, or 2394 and 2395
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Installation
• At least two years’ experience in periodic inspection and testing

📍 Bourton-on-the-Water, Gloucestershire and surrounding areas
💷 £45,000 to £55,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications
🕒 Full-time, permanent

Project Cold Aston is nearly complete 👏

We’re coming to the end of a fantastic project in Cold Aston for Box Capital, and it’s been a really enjoyable one for the E.R Electrical team.

The M&E handover is now complete, with the final details coming together beautifully.

From the lighting throughout the property and bespoke feature lighting, through to the underfloor heating controls, power, consumer units and those all-important finishing touches, there’s been a lot of detail involved in getting this project to the finish line.

We’re particularly pleased with how the lighting has worked alongside the design of the property. The recessed lighting, wall lights, illuminated cabinetry and feature pendants all help bring the different spaces to life without taking away from the character of the house.

And, most importantly, we’ve got happy clients at the end of it, which is always what matters most.

A great project to have been involved with and one we’re proud to put the E.R Electrical name to.

A new kitchen is about much more than choosing the cupboards, worktops and appliances.

The electrics need to be considered early too.

Otherwise, you could end up with sockets in inconvenient places, insufficient power for your appliances or lighting that does not work well for the space.

It may seem a little early to think about winter lighting while the sun is shining. ☀️

However, summer is actually an ideal time to arrange your outdoor lighting.

The weather is usually better, access around the garden is easier and the installation can be completed before the darker evenings arrive.

There is another very important reason too...

Our electricians would much rather install your outdoor lights while it is warm and dry than when they are freezing cold, soaking wet and questioning all their life choices. 😂🌧️

A little throwback to one of our fantastic commercial projects at The Mermaid Inn in Burford. 💡

This project involved modernising the electrical installation while respecting the warmth and character of this historic venue.

Our work included tailored lighting upgrades, along with new power and data installations to help the venue operate effectively day to day.
