We’re excited to be working with SuperPark United on their UK expansion! 🙌

Already a global success, SuperPark is planning a number of new UK locations over the next couple of years – and last week, we had the pleasure of attending the opening of their first UK site in Glasgow, and what an amazing space it is! 🎉

Bringing together a huge variety of fun and interactive activities under one roof, SuperPark creates a space for children of all ages to get up, get active and, most importantly, have fun.

There were smiles all around – including ours! 😄

A fantastic first UK opening, and we’re looking forward to seeing what comes next! 🚀

We’ve been deep in the design stage over the last few months, working on four exciting sites that are due to start next month. We’re looking forward to sharing their progress as they develop! 📸

In the meantime, Unitary Engineering Services Ltd has recently completed the installation of this impressive 40m-span steel EV gantry at Vulcan Road, Norwich, for First Bus, with a second gantry due to be erected later this month. ⚡🚌

Another successful planning approval secured for a small but tricky residential project in Cleckheaton. 🏡✅

Working closely with our client, the proposals were developed around their specific requirements, making better use of the existing outbuildings and available space to create a new garage, home office and associated facilities.

A great example of how considered design can make a real difference, whatever the scale of the project. 📐✨

🏗️ Project Update 02 – EWI & Rendering Works

A significant milestone has now been reached, with the External Wall Insulation (EWI) installation complete across the building. ✅

Attention now turns to the application of the render base coat, with the system continuing to take shape ahead of the final decorative finish. Throughout the installation, a unique fixing pattern has been adopted due to the excessive number of openings, whilst full protection remains in place to safeguard windows and surrounding areas.

As the building remains fully occupied, careful planning and coordination continue to ensure the works are carried out safely, with minimal disruption to residents.

🏗️ One of the most rewarding aspects of working in the design and construction industry is seeing the journey from initial calculations and concept design 📐 through to a finished building on site. 🎉

This recently opened Greggs store, local to our office, is a great example of what can be achieved through a detailed and collaborative design process, and the close coordination between the design and construction teams. 🤝

🏗️ Project Update 01 – EWI & Rendering Works

Scaffolding is now in place, with works officially commencing on our External Walling Insulation (EWI) and Rendering Project.

The scheme will improve the building's thermal performance, reduce heat loss, help address existing water ingress issues and enhance the overall appearance of the development, whilst supporting wider sustainability and carbon reduction goals.

We're looking forward to sharing further updates as the project progresses.

Last week, we took an afternoon out of the office to raise money for Francis House Children's Hospice as part of the HBL Associates Annual Charity Football Tournament.

It was a fantastic afternoon, raising funds for a truly worthwhile cause and enjoying some great football along the way.

To top it all off, J B Langley brought home the trophy as this year's champions! 🏆⚽

A big thank you to everyone involved in organising the event and supporting such an incredible charity.

Something we see time and time again when out surveying.

Soft natural stone and hard cement mortar rarely work well together. Instead of the mortar weathering away, the stone becomes the sacrificial element, leading to erosion, spalling and costly repairs.
