Crime Prevention Advice After Rise in High Value Gold Burglaries, Bradford District

Bradford District Crime Team say there’s been more than 50 residential burglary offences across Bradford District targeting high value jewellery thefts where victims are mainly families of Asian heritage.

Since July 1st 2024 there have been 58 burglaries where Gold has been stolen across the neighbourhood Policing areas of South and West Bradford.

The same period the year before that figure was 18.

Twelve people have been arrested in connection with these burglaries. Enquiries are ongoing.

A security clinic is being held on 1 March at 11am at Wibsey Library, where officers will be handing out crime prevention advice and any concerns raised will be passed onto the team for investigation.
