Well I was meant to be taking a couple days off this week to sort my own garden out (tradesmen know we are always last 🤣) but got a call from a customer asking me to help where I can after the last person did a decorating job for them (if you can call it that) this family have just bought there house and saved to make there house a home and called in a decorator to achieve that.
This person should not be in business he’s done a bit of simple joinery (messed it up)
Decorating is laughable, said he used 110 litres of paint my question is where ?? Could’ve done half the street with that much, 15litres of satin wood paint (could’ve done atleast 3 properties 2 coats with that)
I won’t name and shame the business (for legal reasons) and don’t usually like touching others work.
But I have a heart and could see how upset and stressed they are after spending over £6000 on this including materials which shouldn’t have cost nowhere near that amount on a 3 bed property, so I’m now helping to rectify where I can without decorating it all again I have said I will make this look better (putting straight lines on the edging, filling the holes and caulking where necessary)
People who did this work give us all a bad name and takes the trust away from tradesman and customer I have advised the customer to take this to a small claims court. I know they are angry and upset with what’s happened but it’s my job now to put that smile back on there face and say now it’s a home 😁
I will not leave this job till I know they are 💯 happy with the work 😁
