Although Thursday was a sad day it was also a very memorable day celebrating the life of our friend Kevin Walker. Thank you everyone for coming.

Nancy said a few words and had a cry and then we planted an Acer tree in Kevin’s memory.

A big thank you to everyone who turned up for the litter pick on Saturday. It was a job well done.

Thank you everyone for also supporting the Sapgate Gardens Pop-Up shop. Thank you to Andrew Murphy for keeping me company on the shop.
A big thank you to Laraine for keeping us well stocked.
See all you all next month.

Fab weather and top team on Thursday at Sapgate Gardens. Thanks to all who came. A site was selected for Kevins tree and then the school kids worked hard at moving compost into it to prepare it ready for planting.
In the morning we did more weeding round raspberry bushes and also checked at the top where the wall is crumbling. We have agreed with the people at No 1 that we will cut the bushes back on our side and they will too. I think the bushes need up rooting really but we can see better once we have cut back. Anyone got any ideas about how we can repair the wall- I think we'd have money to pay someone .
Thanks all for a busy and productive day and to the children for being so enthusiastic.
Hope to see everyone again on Thursday, all are welcome.

A good turn out yesterday for weeding. It was cold at first but then warmed up later and we got the bulk of the raspberry bed done.

28 school children came up in the afternoon. They moved compost and did some artwork. They did an excellent job, much appreciated.
We have more school children coming again next week to help the Sapgate volunteers and hopefully have a good time as well.

A very productive day yesterday at the monthly litter pick in Thornton Village. A big thank you to all our litter pickers who did an amazing job.

Marmalade was popular at the Pop Up Shop and someone was tempted with one of the beautiful hand woven scarves we have for sale.

We also had a good turn out for the Easter Egg Hunt. We bought 50 eggs and 41 Easter Bunnies completed the challenge and went home with a lovely Easter Egg.

See you all again next month.
