to this incredible barn conversion transformation.

What started as a traditional barn became a set of high-tech offices, combining historic character with modern engineering.

The project involved extensive repairs to the oak frame, underpinning works, an exposed structural steel framework, and bespoke oak and glass partitioning throughout. Specialist engineers designed an innovative lighting scheme alongside a hot and cold flow air conditioning system to create a comfortable, modern workspace.

Outside, the works included the construction of a Ha-Ha wall, cycle shed, and extensive hard landscaping to complete the development.

A fantastic example of preserving heritage while creating a space fit for the future.

It’s hard to believe we restored The Coach House at Markshall back in 1991 — 35 years ago!

This beautiful 18th-century Grade II listed building was originally built to house horse-drawn carriages for the estate’s grand Jacobean mansion.

Today, following careful restoration, it continues to be enjoyed by visitors as the home of Tea Room.

A wonderful piece of history preserved for future generations.
