🎉 Project Awarded | OMA Office Relocation & Gantry Build

We're pleased to have been awarded the OMA Office Relocation & Gantry Build project at a biomass power station, with The Align Group responsible for the complete delivery package from initial design through to installation.

Our scope of works includes:

• Principal Contractor
• Principal Designer
• Civils & concrete foundations
• Electrical installation
• Mechanical installation

This project will bring together multiple areas of expertise from across The Align Group, allowing us to provide our client with a fully coordinated, end-to-end solution.

Delivering within a live biomass power station environment, our team will work closely with the power station’s operations team to ensure each stage of the project is carefully coordinated, safely managed and delivered with minimal disruption to ongoing operations.

We're excited to get started and look forward to sharing updates as the project progresses.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Groundworker to join our Civils division on a permanent basis, with an immediate start available. The role covers a broad range of groundwork and civil engineering activities across commercial and industrial environments.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Groundworker who takes pride in their work and is looking to join a progressive and supportive company with long-term prospects.

Responsibilities

* Carrying out all aspects of groundworks including EV infrastructure, drainage, ducting, reinforced concrete works, and reinstatement works.
* Reading and working from construction drawings, site plans and specifications.
* Assisting with setting out and ensuring works are completed to the correct levels and tolerances.
* Operating plant and machinery where qualified.
* Ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with site health & safety procedures.
* Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
* Communicating effectively with site managers, clients, subcontractors and other trades.

Requirements

* Proven experience in commercial and industrial groundworks.
* CSCS Card.
* CPCS or NPORS qualifications for Excavator, Dumper and/or Roller.
* Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
* Strong understanding of health & safety procedures.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Full UK driving licence.

Desirable:

* SSSTS .
* Confined Space Training.
* NRSWA Street Works qualification.
* Experience working within the renewables sector, including EV charging infrastructure and solar projects.

Responsibilities
• Providing administrative support across the Civils, Electrical, and Facilities divisions.
• Coordinating schedules, appointments, and project administration activities.
• Preparing, managing, and maintaining documentation, reports, and records.
• Raising purchase orders and processing invoices.
• Liaising with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Maintaining accurate databases, spreadsheets, and filing systems.
• Supporting the coordination of works, resources, and project-related activities.
• Monitoring and updating job tracking systems and project information.
• Assisting with compliance documentation and record management.
• Handling telephone and email enquiries in a professional and timely manner.
• Supporting management with ad-hoc administrative tasks and reporting requirements.

Requirements
• Previous experience in an administration or office coordination role.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.

Desirable:
• Experience within construction, civil engineering, facilities management, or electrical services.
• Experience using job management or project management systems.
• Understanding of compliance and document control processes.
