3rd post, work continues with a raised bed for growing herbs,and a footpath to link the main patios with the shed and raised planter at the end of the garden. All blockwork was clad with black slate effect tiling as per the customers wishes. Over 70 6ft high cherry laurel plants were then planted around the perimeter of the garden to screen the wooden fencing and provide privacy as they mature. Artificial turf was then installed and wrought iron railings complete with gates were fitted to close the garden.

2nd of 3 posts, this starts in March 2025…we return to the job and start work on this rear garden, this will include a retaining wall to the left hand side of the garden and two patio areas one to sit a round swimming pool on and the other to be used as a dining area. There will be a shed base and garden shed at the end of the garden and a summer house also. The job includes all electrical equipment and connections for both the shed and summer house and also a lighting scheme for the garden.

Before during and after pictures of the latest job on a new build house in Willerby, East Yorkshire.… starting with a dig out and remove soil from the whole rear garden, a new patio using 600 x 900 porcelain tiles, a path around the boundary of the garden, import new topsoil and finish off with a new lawn.

This started off as a plain grass rear garden on a new build property in Kirk Ella, East Yorkshire. First thing was a concrete slab base for a summer house and then to build the 5 meter x 4 metre summer house. Then we added a patio to the front of the building using 600 x 600 anthracite porcelain pavers, with a pathway along the garden using Marshall’s tegula block pavers, then using the same pavers to form a patio area underneath a wooden pergola, with two raised planting beds built using wooden garden sleepers. Trenches were cut along the garden to install electric and data cables into the summer house. Two steps were built off the edge of the existing patio to alter the existing sloping grass, finally a tidy up around the excavated areas with some topsoil and grass seed just to finish off.

Working smarter not harder. The latest addition to the toolkit…a pedestrian trenching machine. Cutting a trench for an electric and data cable to supply a recently built summerhouse for a customer in Kirk Ella East Yorkshire. The trench was 100mm wide, 400mm deep and 35 meters in length… it took less than an hour . Brilliant piece of kit.

A complete garden build from bare soil to a completed garden on a new build house in Driffield, East Yorkshire.
incorporating a small patio in front of the summer house and a patio next to the house with a pathway to join the two, using Marshall’s 600 x 600 Indian sandstone paving slabs in slate gray. also including two raised planting beds built with garden sleepers and a circular paved area for a free standing water feature.

The first patio of 2025… installed for a couple from Kirk Ella, East Yorkshire. Using Marshall’s 600 x 900 vitri piazza cava quartz Lucio porcelain pavers edged with Tegula block pavers to create a mowing strip along the edge of the patio, the two patio areas were split level patio‘s with steps between and also a step down onto the lawn area.
