Greenshaw High School: How we delivered a fully operational temporary school for nearly 2,000 students in just 25 days.🏫

As part of the school's redevelopment, education needed to continue uninterrupted while the new campus was being built.

As part of the DfE’s School Rebuilding Programme, Greenshaw High School needed a fully functioning learning environment while its new permanent campus was being constructed.

Working alongside Bowmer and Kirkland, we installed the compliant and ready-to-use temporary school on a live education site in just 25 days.

The large-scale modular facility was designed to align with the Department for Education's Schedule of Accommodation, providing high-quality teaching and learning spaces while demolition and construction works progressed.

The result? Nearly 2,000 students could continue their education without interruption, in a purpose-built environment tailored to their needs.

During the redevelopment of Rosedale College as part of the School Rebuilding Programme, a high-quality temporary teaching block was needed to ensure learning could continue without disruption.

A two-storey modular solution, made from 80 modules across 2,369 m², delivered:
👉 Adaptable classrooms and specialist spaces, including laboratories and food technology rooms
👉 Administrative areas for staff alongside student facilities
👉 Internal systems such as gas supplies, ventilation, safety systems, and independent fire alarms
👉 Thoughtful layouts designed to meet DfE requirements and support teaching of specialist subjects

Modules were installed in just two weeks on a live school site, with careful planning around drop-off, collection times, and local transport restrictions. This fast, efficient delivery kept disruption to a minimum for pupils, staff, and the local community, while providing a fully functional, compliant learning environment.
