We specialise in manufacturing products ranging from made to match mouldings, skirting, door architraves, dado/picture rails, doors, windows, stair cases, and any other joinery products which you can't obtain off the shelf. All products are personally handcrafted using tradition craftsman's skills and machinery to provide a personally designed product crafted to the customers specification. Produc

And just like that it’s come to an end!! Hard to believe it all started in 1989. We’ve had our ups & downs, good times & bad. We’ve had the pleasure of meeting a lot of nice customers and also some we’d rather of not!!!

Front door set manufactured & pre finished lately for a customer in Edzell. Door was painted with Jotun Demi Dekk Infinity which I highly recommend. Remaining paint is always supplied to the client for touching up and re coating in the future 😀..

Evening,

I’ll make this short & quick. After much deliberation my father and I have come to the following.

As of the end of this year (19th December) E.J.Croll Joinery will cease trading. After 36 years (senior) & 31 years (myself) the building trade has changed significantly. Due to various reasons such as age, health & dying demand it’s now time to move on & end this chapter.

Ernie will enjoy his remaining year’s in retirement pottering about. Myself, well, it’s a big world out there and after being stuck solely in the workshop for the last 25 years it’s time to explore other avenues and hopefully see and experience a lot more!

We’d like to thank all of our customers past & present especially the loyal ones who have always stuck by us over the years!

It’s been a very interesting chapter.

New front door set & internal/external facings supplied to a returning customer made to their specific requests. Fully finished by hand with a well known paint manufacturer and remaining paint given to customer. I always work this way when fully finishing, this way customers know what exactly has been applied and can easily obtain the same brand/paint themselves in the future for repainting 👌.

Traditional yellow pine architraves, skirting and panel doors made to match original for a returning customer. They were wanting to restore the age old white battered finishings back to original to retain the character of their home working one room at a time! The etched glass design which was chosen & ordered through my glass supplier, once all fitted everyone was very happy with the outcome!!

Heritage spec sash & case, fixed windows, round windows and door screen supplied for a listed family project/renovation of an old cart shed on the outskirts of Brechin. Style of windows were agreed, door screen was designed/agreed & all was installed by their own tradesmen 😀👍🏻.

A listed building that a local customer requested us to supply heritage spec sash & case windows for. Once permission was granted all windows were supplied, even a rare curved one on the corner, not often you get one of these to do! A door set was also supplied to replace an existing set that had seen its day. Customer was delighted with the outcome🙂.

A bespoke boot room unit supplied lately for finish painting on site. Double thickness MDF units to match customers supplied design with Tulip shelves/doors & cornice. Tulip material is a lot stronger/wear resistant than MDF and also has a tight grain making it an ideal timber for paint finishing/interior projects👍🏻.

Hardwood door screen supplied for a customer in Laurencekirk. Design, Ironmongery & colour was selected and fitted/base coated prior to being fitted by their own joiner. Final coating will be done once installed to fully seal all timber joints etc😀👌.
