This year’s nest right next to an old nest. Some say it’s unusual, this year it has been quite common. This one was in a location just too good to pass up I suppose.

Two active nests side by side!
Picked the low hanging one of and dropped it into a container. Snapped the lid on quick!
Came back to do the same to the other one. Then, a 20 min trip to let the occupants out in the wilderness.
Since the nests are fragile, they may not remain within the nest but often do, especially if the container stays dry.

The nests are certainly getting bigger!
They’ll wasps had a good start this spring and have come on strong.
