A recently completed project in Talybont-on-Usk.
This traditional property had been suffering from significant damp issues, largely due to the internal walls having been previously cement rendered, preventing the building from breathing.
We carefully removed all of the cement render before reapplying traditional lime render and limewash throughout, restoring the walls with breathable materials appropriate for the building.
We also insulated all ceilings before plasterboarding and skimming, creating a warmer and more energy-efficient home. Structural repairs were carried out to the floor joists and roof timbers to ensure the property is sound for years to come.
It's always rewarding to bring traditional buildings back to life using the correct methods and materials.
