Made and fitted these a few weeks ago a beautiful elegant design really suits the age of this property. Made from tulip with lambs tongue moulding all the way round with slim stick on bars, all ready for painting. Another happy customer

Come and join our team at Step Above Carpentry and Joinery, based in Cannington, Bridgwater. We are looking for a full time, fully qualified carpenter and joiner.
We take pride in the work we produce and fit for our customers. If you’re someonewho can match our high standards, we’d love to hear from you at [email protected]

Experience / Knowledge / Skills required:
* Must have confidence in all aspects of joinery and willing to work without direct supervision
* Experience of hand-tool use as well as wood-working machinery
* Be able to work from drawings
* Must have experience as a time-served joiner, or be apprenticeship trained with an NVQ level three in bench-joinery / carpentry and joinery
* The ability to work accurately and methodically whilst meeting deadlines
* Good communication skills
* Must have good written and spoken English
* Adhere to safe working practices at all times
* You must be motivated to work alone and as part of a team
* Must be able to commute to and from work.

Flexibility in this role will be required as some overtime may be necessary, possibly involving weekend work.
We will provide an induction for operating our machinery but previous experience is a must.

Rates of pay to be discussed, depending on experience.
Starting date from Monday 25th March 2024

It’s finally happened…
After a few months of negotiations, Step Above Carpentry And Joinery Ltd is expanding!

After a year of hard work I would like to thank all of my past and present customers for getting us to the point of being able to make this massive leap- after such a short space of time.

Alan has been the owner of Oakwell joinery in Old Cleeve for the past 6 years and has had huge success with the business but due to unforeseen circumstance he has had to take early retirement.

After hearing about Alan and what he has achieved it was a no brainer to buying the company from him so he can enjoy his retirement. And hopefully I can now fulfill the legacy of the company with my team and hopefully we can do it justice for Alan.

So, Step Above now have a joinery shop in Bridgwater and Old Cleeve; expanding our client base to provide our skills and expertise to a wider area. We look forward to this new chapter and journey and we hope that we satisfy any present and future clients!
